The "Rikyu Bag" is said to be the bag that best harmonizes with kimono. It was developed in collaboration with a kimono shop in Dazaifu.
This is a design that you may have seen carried in formal Japanese clothing settings.
To compensate for the drawbacks of typical silk items, we have resized and redesigned them using leather, this time to order a product made from yellow shrunken calfskin.

The main compartment has a zipper closure and ample gusset, so it can hold a lot of luggage. There is also an internal pocket for small items.
There are pockets with magnetic fasteners on both sides of the main storage compartment, which are convenient for storing items you want to access quickly, such as papers or your cell phone, without having to open the zipper.
The bottom has a base plate and tall studs so the leather won't touch the ground.
The bag itself is lined with a core material to give it firmness and prevent it from losing its shape. This is an invisible step, but it ensures that the bag will maintain its shape even after long-term use.
The distinctive handle design is inspired by the obi sash of a kimono. The handle is the face of the bag, and each one is carefully hand-sewn.
This is a high-quality item that goes well with both Japanese and Western clothing.
